Refunds are calculated on the tuition charged for the program, according to the refund schedule above. Tuition varies by program; the example below uses the Associate of Arts in Paralegal Studies.

A student is charged program tuition of $17,700, a one-time application fee of $100 (non-refundable), and a graduation fee of $200. The student withdraws in writing during Week 3 of the term.

Tuition charged: $17,700

Refund rate for a Week 3 withdrawal: 50% of tuition

Tuition refund: $17,700 x 50% = $8,850

One-time application fee: non-refundable = $0

Total refund: $8,850

Scholarships awarded by Kelbert University are applied toward tuition and are not disbursed as cash. A scholarship does not increase the amount refundable to a student. When a student who received a scholarship withdraws, the refund is calculated on the tuition actually charged, and the unearned portion of any scholarship is removed from the student account rather than refunded. In all cases, the maximum refund payable to a student is limited to the amount the student actually paid.

Transferability of credits is at the discretion of the receiving institution. A student who wishes to transfer credits earned at Kelbert University to another institution should note that acceptance of those credits is determined solely by the receiving institution. To participate in online coursework, students must have access to a laptop or desktop computer; a tablet alone is not sufficient. A built-in or external webcam is required for proctored assessments administered through Honorlock. Students must have a broadband internet connection with a minimum speed of 5 Mbps, along with a microphone and speakers or headphones. Google Chrome is required for all Honorlock proctored assessments. Students should also have Microsoft Office or an equivalent such as Google Docs, and Adobe Acrobat Reader.
